She Believed She Was Unwanted and Unloved but God Said Otherwise...

How Meghan McCombs Stopped Believing the Lie of the Enemy...

If you’ve ever believed you’re too much, not enough, unwanted, not beautiful, too loud or don’t fit in, I recorded a conversation this week that is for you.

My guest, Meghan McComb, spent years carrying two labels that affected her all her life: unloved and unwanted.

Meghan grew up in a home that looked fine from the outside but was unstable on the inside. She grew up with parents who loved her but were stretched thin by money problems and long work hours. Eventually, their marriage ended in divorce after 26 years of marriage. It left Meghan broken and with the belief that marriages simply didn’t last and it also left her feeling unloved and unwanted and these followed her into adulthood, showing up in her everyday life and even in her dreams.

Feeling unloved or unwanted is not evidence that you are.

Sometimes the lies we believe about ourselves are so old that they begin to feel like facts. Sometimes they’ve been passed down through generations. Sometimes they’ve been reinforced by things that happened to us, but as believers, we never believe the lie of the enemy.

What began as years of wrestling with rejection, brokenness, fear, and lies ultimately became a story of redemption; one that Meghan has now turned into a bestselling book series she can share with other women: The Rose in the Fireseries; Book One: Lies and Deception and Book Two: The Rose From The Tower

This week’s episode is Meghan’s full story, including the moment she says those old labels finally lost their grip.
