I recently had a conversation with Bolaji Ajibare popularly known online as social media Oga and Bolaji Billions. Bolaji is a social media strategist, digital marketer, educator and community builder. Over the past five years, she has built a community of 250,000+ creators, freelancers and social media professionals, helping people develop the skills and knowledge to build careers and businesses in the digital space.
She has spoken at institutions and events including Imperial College London and the Adobe Ambassador London Summit and has been recognized as one of All Marketing School’s “Top 100 Marketers to Watch in 2026.”
One thing Bolaji hammered on during our conversation is “Faith without works is dead.”
Sometimes as Christians, we can be very religious, always praying, always speaking in tongues, but failing to act.
We ask God for ideas, yet we fail to execute them. Almost as though, we expect God to jump down from Heaven to help us execute those ideas, but when God gives you an idea, he expects you to move.
God can also speak through men in the most mundane random conversation, but you have to be discerning to catch it.
One example that came up in our conversation was the name social media Oga/ Bolaji Billions. Bolaji didn’t have a dream where God told her to use these names for her brand, instead her friends suggested the names, and she ran with it.
You don’t always need a dramatic sign before you move. When God gives you an instruction, thank Him for it, ask for wisdom to execute it and run with it.
