I sat down with my guest Bolaji Ajibare, popularly known online as Social Media Oga and Bolaji Billions.
Bolaji is a social media strategist, digital marketer, educator and community builder. Over the past five years, she has built a community of 250,000+ creators, freelancers and social media professionals, helping people develop the skills and knowledge to build careers and businesses in the digital space.
She has spoken at institutions and events including Imperial College London and the Adobe Ambassador London Summit and has been recognized as one of All Marketing School’s “Top 100 Marketers to Watch in 2026.”
Bolaji kept referencing a particular line in our conversation that I will never forget:
“You are too small to tarnish the plan of God for your life.”
We talked about how sometimes you may feel like you’ve made a mistake and that mistake has messed up God’s plans for your life, but God is more interested in fulfilling His plans for your life than you are.
God is all powerful and can account for your mistakes.
Look at Joseph, for example, his big mouth got him sold into slavery and thrown into prison, yet none of that derailed what God had already planned for his life. If God could work through Joseph’s mistakes, He can work through yours.
If you think you have made a mistake too great, or spoken to others about your dreams too early, remember, God is your Father, and you are too small to tarnish God’s plan for your life.
