Season 2, Episode 2 is live, and this conversation with Juliet Dawn is one I know you are going to carry with you long after you finish listening.
Juliet is a British singer-songwriter, a former X Factor contestant who has performed at the Royal Albert Hall and I invited her because her life is a testimony that everyone needs to hear!
In the last 35 years, Juliet has experienced four miscarriages, the loss of her twin boys Louis and Elliot, a decade in a difficult marriage, two nervous breakdowns, a car crash while pregnant, and a poisonous spider bite that sent her body into crisis. And through every single one of those valleys, her faith didn’t crumble.
We talked about miscarriage and how most people including friends don’t always know what to say. We talked about coercive control, the kind of abuse that doesn’t leave bruises but leaves you a stranger to yourself. We talked about forgiveness that felt impossible, and what it looks like to actually heal.
Juliet’s new album Born To Be, recorded in Nashville, is her declaration that beauty really does come from brokenness. Her debut single Arise & Shine says everything.
This episode is for the woman who is quietly carrying something heavy. The one who has smiled in church but cried in the car. The one who wonders if God sees her.
He does. And this episode is proof.
